Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA on this website and in the Smart Punch app. BC’s Accessible British Columbia Act guides how we think about barriers.
What we do
- Pages work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and buttons meet colour contrast guidelines, and colour is never the only way information is shown.
- Form fields have labels, and errors say what went wrong and how to fix it.
- Pictures and videos have text descriptions. Videos have no sound, and pause when you’ve asked your device to reduce motion.
- The app works at large text sizes and on small phone screens.
Known limits
- The weekly schedule grid is easier to use on a larger screen. On a phone, staff can use the “My shifts” list instead.
- The videos on this website show the app in use. Everything they show is also described in the text beside them.
Tell us about a barrier
If something in Smart Punch is hard to use with your device or assistive technology, email the form on our Contact page or call the form on our Contact page. Tell us the page and what happened. We’ll reply within 5 business days, and we can help you get the information you need in another way in the meantime.
